Nancy Tung: Superhero
Stop Crime SF Board Member Nancy Tung caught a hit and run driver trying to flee the scene of a traffic accident that left one person injured. Tung chased the suspect down the street and held the Muni train he boarded in his attempt to escape.

Nancy explains what happened in her own words:
“On Monday, my dad and I came across a horrific collision that had just happened at the intersection of Sanchez and Clipper in Noe Valley. The driver of one of the cars, whose airbag deployed, was still injured inside the car.
While my dad called 911, I ran over and asked some bystanders what happened. A woman standing outside that car shouted that the driver that caused the accident jumped out of his vehicle and ran away.
I started running in the direction she pointed. There were three different vehicles with severe damage from the accident and an injured person. I felt that whoever caused this needed to be held responsible!
I was able to catch up to the suspect with the help of some bystanders and another person who was also chasing the man. He was just about to board the J-Church, so I followed him on board and asked the MUNI operator to hold the train for the police. As the suspect got off the train, I followed him and told him he needed to wait for the police, and was able to keep him in the area long enough for the police to arrive.
I knew that if he was able to get away on the MUNI that he might never be found! I was happy that everyone working together was able to get the suspect in custody.”
